In the inter-institutional meeting for the annual summary of the summer tourist season 2023, the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mrs. Mirela Kumbaro said that while the tourist flows still continue throughout the country, the MTM statistics speaks of a record number of foreign visitors in Albania during the month of September,and it has reached  1.1 million foreign visitors.

Minister Kumbaro underlined that “The year 2023 was the most successful year in terms of incomes in the economy and foreign tourists. 8.3 million foreign visitors have visited Albania until September, making us an indisputable part of the Mediterranean tourist map, but multiplying the responsibility of a better organization for the next year, the work for which has begun “, – said the Minister of Tourism.

Also in this meeting with the presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama and members of the government and mayors of the country, the Minister of Tourism and Environment appreciated the inter-institutional cooperation during the peak months of the summer season with the prefects, the private sector, as the engine of tourism development and many other partners .

In this annual summary, the 2023 summer season was described as the best season that Albania has achieved so far, setting new standards in cleanliness, safety and above all in the coordination of all Albanian institutions.
