Albania welcomes 40 European tourism ministers next spring.
Albania will be hosting country to the 70th meeting of the European Commission of the World Tourism Organization, which will be held in spring next year. This major event, which will be attended by 40 tourism ministers from all over the world, comes under the framework of the second edition of FESTA − Forum of Environmental and Sustainable Tourism in Albania.
From Uzbekistan, where she attended the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization, the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mrs. Mirela Kumbaro said that this event is yet another test of how Albania is progressing in tourism of major events and conferences.
“This is another very important proof that tourism in Albania is finding not only its followers in the field of natural tourism, culinary tourism, culture tourism, health tourism, but especially the tourism of events, big conferences, which are becoming increasingly important, as it is happening these days in Tirana” Minister Kumbaro said.
At the European Commission meeting, Albania was presented at the top of the tourist flow rankings, the first in Europe with 56% more compared to 2019 and the third in the world for tourism revenue growth by 77% more compared to the pre-2019 period.
