At the heart of ITB Berlin 2024, an important event
was the official designation of Albania as the “Country of Honor” for
ITB Berlin 2025, (Albania – ITB Berlin 2025 Host Country)  marking a significant milestone. This
announcement marked a significant turning point, solidifying Albania’s position
on the global tourism stage. The agreement was signed amidst the
bustling atmosphere of Berlin, with Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela
Kumbaro, and “Messe Berlin” CEO, Mario Tobias, underscoring their
commitment to this transformative partnership.

Minister Kumbaro expressed that this accord symbolized the
culmination of extensive efforts by the Ministry to showcase Albania’s tourism
offerings on the global stage. It not only elevates Albania’s profile among
participants but also underscores its capacity to host and shape the agendas of
major international events like ITB Berlin, bolstering its image worldwide.
Furthermore, it entails a comprehensive promotional campaign until March 2025,
positioning Albania as the focal point and theme of the premier annual tourism
event in Berlin.

In addition to this landmark agreement, another significant
pact was signed in Berlin, paving the way for Tirana to host the 70th meeting
of the UNWTO Commission for Europe from April 7-9. Minister Kumbaro, alongside
Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization,
sealed this deal.

During the Berlin Fair, Albania’s tourism potential was
presented under the new logo and slogan “Albania All Senses” by the
Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the National Tourism Agency.

Seven municipalities highlighted their natural wonders and
unique attractions, while 26 Albanian tour operators presented enticing
packages for Albania’s destinations, catering to visitors, businesses, and
agencies alike. During the three days of the fair and a multitude of
presentations at the stand by the entire representative team, Albania managed
to convey to the capital of Germany the tourist potential of the country along
with the most beautiful sensations and tastes that this adventure gives to
every passionate traveler.
