TEA Application – National Calendar of Tourism Events is presented
For the first time, the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the National Tourism Agency presented the National Calendar of Tourism Events, through the TEA (Tourism Events of Albania) application, one of this year’s technological innovations for Albanian cultural tourism.
At the opening of the event, the Director of the National Tourism Agency, Mrs. Zana Çela said that the TEA, divided into many categories, will bring tourism Albania of culture, agritourism and cuisine, of local holidays and folklore festivals and that of modern music, making the Albania of beautiful events not stay out of the developments of the digital world.
“We have collected over 1,110 events in every corner of Albania, from traditional festivals in mountain and coastal villages to music festivals, international festivals in cities or the capital of the country, Tirana, creating a powerful database, and then we structured event formats that suit tourist audiences. The creation of the TEA calendar and application will give us the opportunity to create a digital story about our brand and that will help tourists in every corner of the globe to create a deeper emotional and unforgettable relationship with Albania”, he emphasized. in her speech the director of AKT.
The Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mrs. Mirela Kumbaro, said that our country lacked a full menu of touristic Albania, of holidays and real cultural events, which should not be missed.
“Here we are today with a much better organization orchestrated by the National Tourism Agency, and I want to thank Zana for this extraordinary work of milingona that she has done together with the staff of the Ministry of Tourism and the Environment and the Agency, work for months and with all municipalities, with all art organizations, embassies, private companies and with the Ministry of Culture, with which we are joining forces to build the National Tourist Calendar of Events”, said Minister Kumbaro.
For Prime Minister Mr. Edi Rama, the TEA application will take the presentation of touristic Albania to the world to a higher level.
“We strongly believe that touristic Albania is beyond the wonderful waters of the sea, beyond the magical peaks of the mountains, beyond the valleys and natural beauties as a whole, and the reasons to visit touristic Albania are much more than that, and therefore joining our touristic offer, of cultural heritage, culture, art, cooking and all kinds of traditional folklore activities or even more contemporary activities, are an extraordinary opportunity to increase the capacity that Albania has in absorbing tourists from all over the world”, – stressed the prime minister.
In the activity organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the National Tourism Agency, many dignitaries participated, including the Prime Minister Mr. Edi Rama, the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mrs. Mirela Kumbaro, ambassadors and representatives of the Diplomatic Body accredited in Tirana, leaders of Municipalities, Associations and Federation of Tourism, agrotourism, banks, hotels and media leaders and journalists.
