It has been 77 years since the liberation of the Albanian capital, Tirana. “Road of Barricades” symbol of this day, preserves within itself historical moments, filled with gunfire, cries of war and heroes. On this day, 127 martyrs sacrificed themselves who fought for an ideal where their biggest dream was the freedom of the country and the people.
On this day the Municipality of Tirana organizes festive activities, but one of the usual activities is when veterans gather at the monument of the Unknown Soldier and lay flowers to remember this historic day.
