The Bjeshke of Kelmendi, in the village of Lëpushë of Malësi e Madhe, will be at the center of the echo of the “Logu i Bjeshke” Festival, which has been promoting the beautiful traditions of the highlanders for many years.

Stojzavalles adorned with the priceless jublet, a symbol of the highlands, will dance in the natural amphitheater in the Predelec Pass, on Sunday, August 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This great cultural manifestation brings to attention the traditions of songs and dances of the Great Highlands played with lutes and couplets over the centuries by rhapsodes and folk dancers.

Logu i Bjeshke is an activity of the National Calendar of Events of Cultural Tourism, Tradition and TEA Application.

One of the beauties of this holiday is the jubleta, the Queen of Albania’s folk costumes, which under the protection of UNESCO evokes the rich and unique ethnographic tradition of the Albanian people.

During the event that gathers tourists and visitors from the side year after year, the atmosphere of the celebration will continue with a wide program that includes the outdoor parade of the most beautiful girls of the province dressed in jublet, dance and folk and traditional songs.

The history of the Log of Bjeshke is early. It is related to the ancient tradition of Malësi e Madhe, when boys expressed their sympathy for one of the village girls, appreciating her by her graces. Dressed in the elegant dress of the Highlands, she was seen on the way to the village kroi or ceremonies and holidays, as well as on Sundays in the Church.
