The city of Roses is one of the cities of Gjirokastrër district. Përmet is located in a mountainous and hilly area with very broken and diverse relief, where the peak of Paping on mount Nëmërçka is prominent. It is located in the southeast of Albania and borders to the south by Gjirokastra; with Skrapar and Berat to the North, Kolonja to the east and Tepelena to the west.

The Vjosa River, queen of the wild rivers of Europe, one of the main rivers of our country, which winds west, becoming the main axis of organizing and communicating local communities in the district of Përmet, adds magic to the green landscape of the city of Përmet.

The hot springs of Bënjë with healing properties for a variety of diseases constitute another wealth of underground resources of the area, along with the beautiful valley and canyons of Langarica.

The National Park “Bredhi i Hotovës”, with its massive fir forests, pine trees and freshwater springs, enchants you with its unique beauty and richness of biodiversity. The panoramic landscapes, natural, historical, and cultural values offer great potentials for the development of ecotourism of the city of Përmet.

The 18th century Leusa Church, known for its icons and carvings in wood, as well as the 12th century Church of St Mary in Kosina, along with the natural rock formation, the City Stone are some of the beautiful attractions of Përmet, visited by local and foreign tourists.
